Booking terms & conditions

1. Booking and payment. Your booking with Africa Safaris is confirmed once we receive either a 30% deposit (for travel more than 75 days away) or payment in full. After the deposit, a second payment of 40% is due 60 days before your first safari starts, and the final 30% is due 30 days before arrival. Each invoice is emailed about three weeks before it is due, with reminders until it is paid. For travel 75 days away or less, payment in full is required at booking.

2. Prices. Prices are quoted in US dollars per person sharing, and include the items listed under “Included” for each safari. GBP and EUR prices on the website are approximate. Park fees and permit prices are set by governments and may change. We will pass on any increase announced after you book.

3. Cancellation by you. More than 60 days before travel: deposit retained. 59–30 days: 50% of the trip cost. 29–0 days: 100%. Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are non-refundable once purchased. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

4. Changes. We are happy to amend bookings where possible; changes may incur supplier charges. If a lodge becomes unavailable we will offer an alternative of similar or higher standard.

5. Travel documents. You are responsible for valid passports, visas or eTAs and any health requirements (such as yellow fever certificates).

6. Wildlife. Wildlife sightings, including the Great Migration river crossings, cannot be guaranteed.
