Group Safaris and Events in Kenya: Corporate Retreats, Reunions and Milestone Celebrations
By the Africa Safaris team, Nairobi · · 3 min read
Plan a group safari or event in Kenya: corporate retreats and incentive trips, family reunions, milestone birthdays and anniversaries, with logistics, venues and payment options.
Safaris bring people together like nothing else. Whether you're rewarding a sales team, gathering three generations of a family or celebrating a 50th birthday, our safari events planning team can turn Kenya into the venue.
Types of group safari events we plan
- Corporate retreats and incentive trips: team safaris, strategy days at a lodge with a view, and awards dinners in the bush
- Family reunions and multi-generational safaris: mixed ages, accessible rooms and private vehicles for each branch of the family
- Milestone birthdays and anniversaries: surprise dinners, cakes, Maasai dancers and photographers
- Weddings and vow renewals: see our destination wedding guide
- Special-interest groups: photography clubs, birders, school and university groups.
Venues that work for groups
- Masai Mara: exclusive-use camps, private bush dinners and group balloon flights
- Lake Naivasha: lakeside lodges with gardens, meeting spaces and boat trips, about two hours from Nairobi
- Laikipia and Ol Pejeta: conservancy lodges with rhino-tracking experiences and wide-open views
- Nairobi: hotels with conference facilities, plus the Giraffe Centre and elephant orphanage for team outings
- Diani Beach: resort venues for the celebration after the safari.
How group logistics work
- Vehicles: groups travel in several private Land Cruisers, typically up to 6 guests per vehicle so everyone gets a window seat.
- Flights: charter options from Nairobi's Wilson Airport for larger groups.
- Rooms and dietary needs: we manage rooming lists, dietary requirements and accessibility.
- One point of contact: a dedicated coordinator handles the whole group.
Payments made simple
Each traveller or the organiser can pay. For trips more than 75 days away, the payment plan is 30% deposit, 40% sixty days before travel and 30% thirty days before arrival, with every invoice and reminder sent by email. Companies can request invoices in the company name. We take Visa and Mastercard through a secure provider.
Sample group itineraries
- 4-day team retreat: Nairobi, then Lake Naivasha for workshops and a boat safari, then two nights in the Masai Mara with a bush dinner
- 7-day family reunion: based on the 6-Day Kenya Classic with extra private vehicles, plus a celebration dinner
- Milestone celebration: the 8-Day Destination Wedding route works beautifully for big birthdays too.
